The inhibition of serum cholinesterase by alkyl fluorophosphonates.
During the war, a team of workers under Drs Saunders and McCombie prepared a series of fluorophosphonate esters and related compounds (McCombie & Saunders, 1946). Some of them were found to be highly toxic to animals by inhalation and very rapid in action, and to have a powerful myotic action when present in sub-lethal concentrations. In man, exposure to amounts of vapour insufficient to give a...
متن کاملPreparation of Alkyl Esters of Pectin and Pectic Acid
Alkyl esters of pectin and pectic acid have been prepared via three different synthetic routes. Enhancements of intrinsic viscosity, binding to bile acids and to isolated soy protein were shown for these novel pectin derivatives. The development of new and improved pectin-containing products may be enhanced by the ease of preparation and improved functionality of such compounds.
متن کاملMicrowave-accelerated preparation of Nـ alkyl 2ـ ketomethyl quinoline Derivatives
A series of Nـ alkyl 2ـ ketomethylquinoline derivatives were synthesis by reaction of benzoyl chloride derivatives with Nـ methyl quinaldine iodide in the presence of triethyl amine under microwave irradiation. Enaminone form of the product study by spectroscopy method. The result revealed the Nـ alkyl 2ـ ketomethylquinoline the fixed enaminone tautomer.
متن کاملZirconium Dodecylphosphonate: Selective and Constructive Catalyst for Preparation of 2-Alkyl Benzoxazoles from Aliphatic Carboxylic Acids
In this study, zirconium dodecylphosphonate was synthesized by the reported method in scientific literature. 2-Alkylbenzoxazoles were prepared from aliphatic carboxylic acids and 2-aminophenol in the presence of this catalyst under solvent-free conditions at 100°C. Their structures were recognized by IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR. Then, we used aromatic carboxylic acids in t...
متن کاملPreparation and properties of prothrombin.
The conversion of prothrombin to thrombin constitutes a major step in blood coagulation. Aside from its important hemostatic function, the reaction has broad biological significance since it is one of the few examples of protein-protein and proteinion interaction with profound physiological as well as pathological effects. As an archetype of such reactions, clearer delineation of the nature of ...
